Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is organizing the "Dubai International Exhibition of the Arabic Calligraphy Art" in collaboration with the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) of Istanbul. The exhibition begins on February 24 and runs till February 28.

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) utilized its ninth successive year participation in the East Mediterranean International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (EMITT-2010) in Istanbul to promote and market the emirate as a leisure and business destination in the East Mediterranean markets which are emerging as a promising market for Dubai’s tourism industry.

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), in cooperation with the leading German magazine for tourism and business travel targeting travel agents and tour operators, fvw International, organised a five-day tourism workshop and familiarization tour of the emirate for a select group of representatives from Germany’s leading tour operators, travel agencies and media.

Substantial increase in co-participants and stand size

For the fourth successive year, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and its 18 co-participants showcased Dubai’s attractions and tourism product offerings at the South Asia’s biggest travel and tourism exhibition held in the Indian capital city.

Thousands of visitors from various nationalities are visiting the heritage sites complex in Al Shindagha to watch a wide range of activities organised by the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) as part of its participation in the 15^th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) highlighting the various facets of the emirate’s rich history and culture.

300 youths from 13 countries aboard the ship

Fuji Maru, a cruise ship carrying 300 youths from 13 countries including the UAE under an international programme to propagate the message of peace and co-existence, docked in Dubai on February 8.

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), along with 11 co-participants drawn from the emirate’s vibrant tourism industry, participated in the Holiday World-2010 exhibition in the Czech Republic from February 4 to 7.

 Each evening, hundreds of people head to Heritage Villages created in Al Shindagha and The JBR Walk in Dubai Marina to watch the rich Emirati heritage and culture unfolding before their eyes while taking time out to try out the best of authentic Emirati cuisines amidst the colourful and festive sights. 

DTCM’s 32-day show bring Emirati heritage closer home to Dubai Marina residents

The Heritage Collections (Banader Al Turath) Exhibition, which was officially opened by H.H Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at The Walk Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai Marina, is offering insights into Dubai’s glorious past and progress through 3000 years to residents and visitors from different parts of the world.

H.H Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum officially inaugurated the Heritage Village at The Walk at JBR in Dubai Marina on February 4. Organised by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), it is one of the attractions at The Walk during the 15^th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).  

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing’s (DTCM) representative office for the UK and Ireland has been presented with a trophy for being the Best Tourist Board at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards held in London recently.
